SENTRY-AD was presented to the event as a unique and novel bio-electrode sensor technology that solves issues relating to imbalance events and provides improved monitoring of anaerobic digestion performance. SENTRY-AD was developed by the team at IWT over a 3 year period and was introduced as a technology that had broad applications in real-time monitoring of microbial metabolic activity.

SENTRY-AD™ is a bio-electrode sensor technology designed to be easily added to wastewater treatment facilities with the goal of providing real-time monitoring capability of the resident microbial communities. SENTRY-AD™ provides real-time performance data to operators of anaerobic digestion and biogas facilities. There are currently 12,000 biogas facilities installed worldwide with the market growing at a CAGR of 9.4%.
